ROHA provides therapeutic and educational services in the field of mental health.

Management

Management members are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting from amongst the current paid up membership of ROHA.  Additional members are co-opted where necessary for their expertise or to ensure better demographic representation.  ROHA is a registered nonprofit organisation and its members and staff are people who have been affected by mental or life-threatening illness or injury either personally or through family.  

The current management team is: 

Miss Adelle Potgieter is a founding member of ROHA. She currently serves as the Chairman (Management) and Acting Director (Staff). She is a graduate of the University of Port Elizabeth specializing in the role of emotion in conflict and emotional coping skills. She has a passion for children and animals and happily combine these two loves as facilitator of the Healing Spirit workshops. Adelle is a cancer survivor and lives with PTSD/depression.
Mr David Gascoyne is the Vice Chairman of ROHA.  He is a branding expert (graphic designer and shopfitter) and also a trained IBM/ Apple Technician. His passion is the outdoors and helping people of all ages to heal. David is recovering from a Traumatic Brain Injury from an accident.
Miss L. Denise Bell is the Treasurer (Management) and a Program Leader/Office Manager (Staff). She is been involved with ROHA since 2001 firstly as a client of the support groups and then as volunteer/staff. As Program Leader she has faciliated workshops in art and craft therapy for psychiatric and oncology patients and assist Miss Potgieter with fundraising and lifeskills programmes. Denise lives with depression and a learning disability.
Miss Charmaine Potgieter is one of the founding members of ROHA.  She is Secretary of the Management Team.  She holds a Secretarial Diploma. Charmaine lives with Schizophrenia.
Mrs Lulama Ngqungwana and Mr Henry Stuurman are additional members. Lulama is mentored by Miss Potgieter and ROHA and assisted to register her own NPO, Ngomso Youth Foundation which provides services to children in Zwide.

All management members are volunteers.  Some management members also function as paid staff when funds become available as they render services without payment when fundraising is poor, often keeping the charity afloat with their own funds.
